This 16-day Uganda safari takes you through the country’s most iconic wildlife and cultural sites. You will see Uganda’s diverse landscapes, from savannahs and lakes to montane forests. You’ll track rare mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, and chimpanzees, enjoy spectacular bird watching, and explore local Batwa and cultural communities. Along the way, you’ll experience boat cruises, scenic drives, and nature walks that reveal Uganda’s rich biodiversity, including elephants, lions, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species.

Tour Details
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport. Meet your guide/driver and transfer to Metropole Hotel for overnight stay. Enjoy a welcome briefing about your safari and Uganda.

Drive 4–5 hours to Lake Mburo National Park. Stop at the Equator for fun water experiments and visit local crafts markets. Lake Mburo is a small savannah park with zebras, impalas, buffaloes, and hippos. In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Mburo, spotting hippos and birds.

Start the day with a morning game drive in Lake Mburo, then drive 3 hours to Lake Bunyonyi, known as the “lake of many little birds.” Relax by the lake, swim in clean waters, or take optional boat rides.

After breakfast, travel to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Experience the Batwa Trail, learning how the indigenous Batwa live—hunting, honey gathering, fire making, and water collection. The trail ends at Garama Cave, a spiritual and cultural site of the Batwa people.
